This is located opposite the Chapel of Our Lady of the Forsaken, on the former Court street.

For many centuries, this Renaissance style construction was the Chapterhouse of the town, with the prison located in the basement. At present it is a culture centre for diverse activities, the music school and public library.

This building has an impressive ashlar front, looking much like a Gothic palace. The arch over the entranceway belongs to this style, and to the left was the access to the erstwhile prison. Inside there are three pointed arches and a solemn stone staircase
