This chapel is located 312 m above se level on the mountain known as San Benet. It dates from the 17th century and has a simple structure comprising barrel-vaulted nave flying buttresses. It is in the Baroque Valencian style. The back of the chapel may once have been one of the watchtowers in the coastal surveillance network set in place in the 15th an 16th centuries. From here there is a good view of the Columbretes islands, the Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca marshes, the Desierto de las Palmas nature area, the Santa Agueda peaks, and in the distance on a clear day, one can even see the Cape of San Antonio down south in Alicante province. The chapel has another building butting against it, which was once a hostel with rooms for pilgrims, stables for horses and two wells in the square all used for pilgrimages made here. Traditionally, a pilgrimage was made to the chapel on 11 June for San Benet, and 13 December for Santa Lucia, and this tradition is still preserved, with the faithful coming from surrounding districts. A mass and procession are held.
