The dune is located between the beaches Carregador and Romana whose sands contribute in its formation. The area is established by the rocks of basis, which form the so-called Punta Carregador, also called Roquer Martí. The duna is subject to the winds of one or another beach, which gives it an irregular configuration, and not those of the classic dune with figure of moon; thus it is composed of many small mounds of short length. This also brings as a consequence the uneven distribution of vegetation, mixing some species with others. This dune is worthy of being preserved. The Dune area is unique both in vegetation such as in location.

Today, you can explore this fantastic natural space through a wooden path that crosses it and enables one to admire the dunes and its original vegetation. This gateway has allowed the protection and regeneration of the natural dunes and its flora and fauna.
